To the Stars…. Ad Astra was composed as a tribute to the brave men and women who have strived to take to the skies and fly like the birds, in both powered and unpowered flight. I have always been fascinated by the drawings of Leonardo DaVinci who had imagined several flying machines through to the Wright Brothers and other aviators who strived to get airborne. 
 
To the Stars…. Ad Astra, starts off with a dream like opening before we find ourselves in the air flying and soaring through the clouds. After the initial effort to leave the ground behind with powered flight we find ourselves gliding through the air and enjoying the whole experience until we start our decent back towards the ground and a safe landing.
