The Hajar Mountains suround Muscat and streach all the way to UAE. They are a promemant part of the Oman landscape and can be seen from miles away. In the trio section I make reference to an Omani folk tune that I heard a couple of my students playing and as way of aural training I asked to write down the tune. I later wrote a short Euphonium Duet using the tune and then about 18 months late this March.
